In the early summer, when it is not too hot, before the rainy season, I revisit the old place for a yo-yo, one is a routine small cross-country trip on weekends, and the other is to exercise my wife’s ability to choose a road when cross-country crossing, so as to prepare for the next Driving alternately with me during a long-distance crossing for half a year.
Therefore, we chose four crossing routes that are more familiar to riders, Air Grassland, Dongdian Ziliang, Feihuxing, and Chashan. The common advantages of these four roads are three: First, they are not difficult. Except for some cross axles going uphill in the butt ditch, the basic urban SUV+AT tires can be used throughout the whole journey. Second, the landform features are different. From canyons to meadows, there are ridges and plains, so the driving will not be too monotonous. The third is that these four lines can basically be connected together, making it possible to connect them in one day.

I rushed to Laiyuan County after get off work on Friday and stayed in a B&B at the foot of Baishi Mountain. On Saturday morning, I had a full meal and started to set off for the air grassland.
I took the co-pilot all the way, and my wife drove the car. I didn’t expect it would be so uncomfortable to take the co-pilot and walk on a bad road! Fortunately, although the weather is average, the surrounding scenery is good.
The gravel road has enough adhesion, my wife drives very fast, and she has relatively rich driving experience, so I am very relieved that there is a cliff on one side, take pictures, listen to songs, and occasionally give her some pointers.
Air Grassland gets off the road from the Sanchakou near the entrance of the scenic spot. The whole road is a dirt road and gravel road. There are no big pits. Cars are careful with sharp stones, and they can pass with confidence.

The leisurely cows nibble on the green grass in early summer, and the air grassland is still cool and comfortable with a temperature of less than 20 degrees at 10 am.
There are too many tracks on Ovie, so I won’t post them. I took a few big pictures when I stopped to pee, and I also brought a rescue board in case it rained and got muddy.
The sky is not blue, it is gray, and there is a bit of meaning to scrape a sandstorm. Fortunately, the mountains are green, which is more eye-catching.

Basically walking out of the air grassland, starting from my hotel, the whole journey is nearly 100km, and it takes less than 3 hours.

After walking out of the air grassland, I chose a dry canyon for one day, leading to the next stop, Feihuxing.

After walking out of the grassland, you will pass through Shenquan Cave and drive into Feihuxing.
Feihuxing is still the same Feihuxing. Except for the stones on the road, there is not a drop of water. It seems that this summer starts with dryness.
Feihuxing is no more difficult. Just be careful to avoid sharp stones. On the road, you encounter a reverse-wearing H9. The silver body is particularly beautiful.
The vegetation in the flying fox is more dense, and it is comfortable and relaxed to walk through the green canyons.

I met two young men who were riding bicycles, and I remembered that 10 years ago, I was also a bicycle lover.
Come quietly, go quietly. How beautiful it would be if the rocky beach of Feihuxing could restore the streams of previous rainy seasons.
After walking out of Feihuxing, you are about to enter Caogoubao Township, and then enter Dongdian Ziliang, facing a group of cattle blocking the way. But not long after I left Caogoubao Township, the Dongdianziliang wind path marked on my map was blocked, and three concrete pipes with a diameter of more than one meter were lying on the road up the mountain. Decided to go down the mountain and go to the village to ask the locals.
Returning to Caogoubao, I asked an uncle. The uncle said that it is not possible to go to Dongdianziliang during the fire season, and it will be done after June 30. Since we don’t let it go, we don’t make any efforts. From July to August, we will come back to Dongdian Ziliang to enjoy the windmills, and come to Feihuxing to camp and play in the water.
Turn around and go directly to Chashan
What is the difference between the cows of Chashan, which are also leisurely, and those of Sandaochuan?
This road is a little difficult, and I turned on the low-speed four-wheel drive because I was afraid that I would not be able to pass through some deep pits.
The creek that has been faintly visible, the microclimate of Chashan is indeed wetter than that of the air grassland.
The scenery of Chashan is nothing to say, so I don’t regret not finishing Dongdian Ziliang.
Off-road circle non-famous attractions – butt ditch. The road up the mountain after passing the butt ditch is quite difficult. I remember it was 200 meters. The hairpin bends up the mountain and is full of shell craters. It is necessary to find the route in advance and fill the throttle to pass. If it rains, it will be more muddy and slippery, so cycling is not recommended.
After entering the ridge forest, the road conditions are much easier. I stopped by the roadside for a meal and met a big brother Lu Xun who was camping with his family.
It was 4 o’clock in the afternoon. After lunch, I cleaned up the rubbish, set off across Chashan, turned out of Dashan from Dahenan Township, and went home to Beijing.
The pine forests in Chashan are even denser. When camping at night, you must find a leeward and safe place to camp.

The straight forest, whether it is a natural forest or a fly-seeded forest, the trees are all the same thickness.
This is the fourth time I have come to Chashan, and I am very familiar with it.
Before walking into the wind lane, the road conditions were such that the city SUV could barely walk together. If you go to the wind driveway, it is a cement road. If you start from Yu County, the road is paved throughout, and the car can go up the mountain for camping.
Because I was too familiar, I didn’t get out of the car to take pictures. The sun was about to go down, so I hurried on my way. Goodbye, cows!
Walking along the ridge, I felt relaxed and happy all the way. At 5 o’clock in the afternoon, although the sky was still bright, the distant mountains against the side light were more three-dimensional and beautiful.
The wind tunnels are very similar, so you don’t have to go up to each one to find out.
With the blessing of Wei Tu, general travel has become so easy. It’s not like when I played outdoors ten years ago, I printed out the color map in advance, and used Magellan to check the location while walking. I had to do a lot of homework in advance, and I had to learn the knowledge of positioning.

I didn’t honk the horn, I approached slowly, they moved away slowly, no one complained, everything happened quietly, and occasionally I could hear a few bleat complaints.
