The 2019 China Ring Tower (International) Rally and the Xinjiang Substation of the China Autocross Championship ended the competition for the first stage (Aksu Tomur Grand Canyon stage) on May 21, representing KTMR2R Star Team of Kailicheng Spanish driver Armand Hernández won the first place in the motorcycle group with a best time of 2 hours, 28 minutes and 16 seconds, and Liu Yangui/Sha He of the Beijing Off-Road Family Team in the car group took the second place with a time of 2 hours, 19 minutes and 37 seconds. Ranked first in the national four-wheel drive group, Han Wei/Liao Min of the Geely Shell Lubricant Team ranked first in the national two-wheel drive group with a time of 2 hours, 22 minutes and 04 seconds.

Hernandez, who represented the KTMR2R star team of Kailicheng, reached the finish line first on the day, and was ahead of the second place, Zakel Yakefu of Wubao Racing Team, by nearly 20 minutes.

“It felt really good today, the track wasn’t difficult for me today. I think it’s very fun in the desert, it’s great, it’s cool, I’ve adapted to the desert track, and the scenery next to it is very good. Although this The altitude of the track is a bit high, but this did not hinder my performance. As early as a week ago, I had made sufficient preparations for the desert terrain. So I feel very good!” Hernandez said after the race .

Zhang Min of Kailicheng KTMR2R Star Team and Zhou Tian of Xinjiang Daretan Team ranked third and fourth respectively. Fang Mingji, who played for the Shell Amway XS all the way to the South Rally Team, suffered a car failure that day. Although he finally reached the finish line with the help of others, he was only ranked sixth behind the leader by nearly an hour after finishing the race.

Automobile National Four-Wheel Drive Group: The BAIC Legion has obvious advantages

 

For the national four-wheel drive team, Liu Yangui/Sha He of the BAIC Corps, French drivers Christian Lavigne/Pierre Gassin and Wang Hai/Li Pengcheng occupy the top three positions. Wang Xiang/Yang Tao of the RZOIL Longxingtianxia Team ranked fourth ahead of the main drivers Zhang Guoyu/Liu Yuan.

“There are many forks in the stage today. Not long after we entered, the rally meter of the car broke down. After 60 kilometers, there was no rally meter. We came back with ENB. Except for this small problem, today is still very good. It went smoothly, even without a flat tire,” Liu Yangui said after the race.

Li Aidong/Wang Yirong of Qian’an Jiujiang·Luhang Tire Team performed well that day, ranking ahead of Lu Binglong/Meng Bin of BAIC Corps. Although Lu Binglong’s role as the team’s fast guarantee had been determined before the race, he still won the praise and respect of many drivers for taking the initiative to give up the car when his opponent was approaching him that day.

Ma Hailong/Tian Lei of Ningxia Yuanhang Racing Team encountered a half-axle problem before the finish line. He had to drive a two-wheel drive Hilux car to complete the last part of the stage, which delayed time. Chen Feng/Wang Yicheng and his teammate Wang Qiang/Ma Wentao occupied the last two seats of the top ten. Chen Feng also said that due to the relatively late starting position, it was almost a journey of overtaking and following slow cars all the way.

In terms of the national two-wheel drive team, Han Wei of the Geely Shell Lubricating Oil Team took the first place in the stage with a five-minute advantage, ranking behind Liu Kun/Pan Hongyu of Shaanxi Yunxiang Automobile Sports Co., Ltd. and Zhang of Shaanxi Yunxiang Club Before Ming/Qin Xu. After the race, Han Wei said that after the exhaust pipe of his car fell off, he did not advance at full speed to prevent the car from catching fire.

“During the race, the exhaust pipe was turned upside down, so I didn’t dare to drive and keep running. Today, my condition is still good. The water gully in the stage is very large, which is also very harmful to the car. We exhausted Even though I was still worried about the fire coming out and igniting the car after being overturned. Although the first few stages of this race were difficult, the hard work is still in the third and fourth stages, so now is not the time to exert strength. It is very important to protect the car well. Today there is still a problem that the new helmet may be a little small, and it hurts a bit when it is pinched,” Han Wei said after the game.

After the end of the day’s competition, the drivers will usher in the SS2 (Amway XS stage) competition on May 22. The starting and ending points are located at the Red Desert Scenic Spot in Achale Town and near the S306 Provincial Highway in Artush City, respectively. The mileage of the special stage is 216.81 kilometers. On the same day, the competition camp will be moved from Aksu to Makiti County.
