Absorb classics without forgetting innovation, this layout is suitable for Foton G9

The yellow box in the figure indicates the bed

The internal dimensions of the Foton G9 model are 3.4 meters long, 1.7 meters wide, and 1.65 meters high.

The car has a mid-mounted engine, and the cockpit has a high platform. The seats in the cockpit are difficult to modify and can only be two seats. In addition, the body is narrow and the interior height is not enough.

Under these disadvantageous conditions, if the long-axis classic horizontal bed layout is applied, it will not be possible to flip the cockpit seat and communicate with the rear row, and the size of the horizontal bed will also be difficult to meet the height requirements of most male compatriots.

However, if the classic vertical bed layout of the long axis is applied, the height of the interior of the car cannot be used as bunk beds. If the vertical bed is expanded into a double bed, the bathroom will not be usable.

Based on the above reasons and combined with my own needs, I designed this solution suitable for G9. Based on the classic vertical bed layout, a variable-width pull-out bed is added behind the high platform of the cockpit, which is usually required for single beds. It can be extended into a double bed.

The glove box in the middle of the cockpit has been remodeled to the height of the seat cushion, with cushions and multiple beds. In this way, there are four beds in total with the vertical bed at the back. The man sleeps on a high vertical bed, and the woman and child sleep on a double bed and driver. warehouse.

If there are two people traveling, the beds are all in a fixed state, and only two or more people need to toss the bed, which is the same as the classic layout of those fixed beds. Moreover, the operation process of adding beds is much simpler than that of ordinary card seats, just pull out the extended bed board.

The seat of the bathroom in this layout is in the right rear corner of the car, which is also the most ideal, and the entire layout space is visually open.

The disadvantage of this layout is that there is no fixed big bed, but this is limited by the width of the car. A fixed big bed with insufficient length is useless. Usually, it can only sleep women and children, and men still have to toss about the booth to change the bed. Therefore, for the G9 model, this layout scheme is more suitable than the rote classic scheme.

The number of seats in the layout diagram is designed to maximize, and the number of seats can be reduced according to actual needs without affecting other functions. The optimal number of seats for this layout would be four (without the third row and second row plinth rails).

Of course, there are also many people who like the four-person business pair deck, because it looks more business-like. That must be six seats.

If you only consider traveling with two people, and occasionally bring a child to sleep in the cockpit or on the floor, then you don’t need a pull-out bed, you just need to make a fixed bed box and add a narrow folding board on the edge of the bed (use Similar to the hardware that extends the round table), try to widen the width of the horizontal bed without affecting the entry and exit of the middle door (the total width of the middle door of the G9 is 1.2 meters, which is slightly wider than that of ordinary models).

For the selection of the seat and the production of the pull-out bed (sofa bed), please refer to the description in my other post http://bbs.ucar.run/thread_14640930_1_1.html

Any better ideas are welcome to discuss!

update content:

Considering that making slide rails on the ground will raise the height of the ground, it will make the already insufficient internal height even more tense. Therefore, the plan of the seat bed was slightly modified, the ground slide rail was removed and the desktop was lifted, and the modified plan made it more convenient to switch between the daily commuting mode and the travel mode, just simply erect or lay flat chair back.

The table board of the lifting table is made to slide back and forth a little to facilitate bed sharing. Same as the previous plan, when two people travel, there are two fixed single beds. When there are many people who need the front horizontal bed to become a double bed, lower the lifting table to the minimum (the original action is to remove the movable table), and pull the bed board to the maximum (same as original action).

As for the vehicle inspection mode, it can only use quick release screws for the second row of seats. During the vehicle inspection, the seat is installed forward, and a little foot space has been reserved in front, and the short slide rail that comes with the seat can be solved by moving back a little.

Looking carefully at the layout diagram, there is a feeling of deja vu, which is very similar to the common layout of the classic six-seat rear horizontal bed, but the right side of the rear horizontal bed is cut in half, and then the kitchen counters in the bathroom are pushed back one by one. The half of the bed that was cut off was shrunk in half again and placed at the middle door. After these maneuvers, the results obtained are still satisfactory.

Summarize the comparison results between this plan and the classic six-seater rear horizontal bed plan:

1. Bed:

When two people are traveling, this plan is two fixed single beds, and the length of one of the beds can meet the needs of tall people. The classic plan is a fixed double horizontal bed but its length is limited, which is not suitable for tall people. If you go to the booth to make a bed to meet the height requirements, the classic plan will fail completely.

When traveling with two adults and one child, the same double bed and a single bed need to be turned over two seat backs and a movable table during the process of combining the beds, but this plan has an extra action of pulling half of the bed. In this regard, this program is slightly inferior.

2. Bathroom:

The bathroom in this scheme is in the right rear corner and can be made into a fixed type. In the classic scheme, the bathroom is located in the right middle of the car and cannot be fixed. As a result of the comparison, this scheme wins.

3. Kitchen counter:

The length of the kitchen table (including the sky cabinet) in this plan is about 1.3 meters, and the kitchen table of the classic plan (it is impossible to have the sky cabinet) can only be half of the middle door with a width of about 0.6 meters. As a result of the comparison, this scheme wins.

4. Living room:

Both plans are for four people to sit in booths. When two or more people are traveling, all card seats need to participate in bed sharing, and the classic plan for two people traveling together has one tall person who also needs card seat sharing. The comparison results are tied

5. Storage space:

Compared with the classic scheme, this scheme has one-fourth less area under the bed, but one more open-air cabinet. Considering the convenience of picking and placing items in the cabinet, the comparison result of this scheme is slightly better.

6. Connectivity:

In the classic scheme, the high platform of the driving cabin goes down and leads directly to the rear warehouse. In this scheme, the horizontal bed behind the high platform of the driving cabin needs to be climbed, which is slightly inconvenient.

The aisle part: the classic plan is blocked by the bathroom, but this plan is unimpeded.

Back door part: This plan can pass through the bathroom and open the back door to get off the car. The classic plan can also make a folding bed board in the middle of the horizontal bed and get off the car through the back door. The results were tied.
