I met Zhu Zhiwen, a cycling madman in El Salvador.
Since 2012, Zhu Zhiwen has cycled in 39 countries on four continents, and has been on the road for more than 6 years. Back in 2015, when I was driving across Africa, Zhu Zhiwen was also riding a bicycle across Africa. We made appointments in Africa no less than three times, but in Malawi we failed to meet because of our different routes.
Three years later, Ushuaia and Alaska are two continental poles. We drove all the way south from Alaska, and Zhu Zhiwen rode bicycles all the way north from Ushuaia, and finally met in Salvador, Central America.

The border officer told us that there is a time limit for staying in the remaining two countries, and only then did we find out that Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua use joint visas. With this visa, you can go to the four countries in Central America without applying for another visa (only for our Chinese passports, Nicaragua does not recognize joint visas, and needs to apply for a separate visa). The Guatemala visa we applied for was given a total of 30 days, and this time became the total time spent in the four Central American countries. I just found out now, but we have already gone to two countries, and the time spent in the other two countries is enough for us. This is not affected. Therefore, when applying for the first country, be sure to apply for enough period of stay.
When the car pass leaves El Salvador, the original is taken back and a copy will be given to us.
When we entered Honduras, the immigration officials looked at our US visa, and everyone stamped it quickly, but I couldn’t pass it.
The immigration officer told me with a mobile phone translator: My name is the same as a suspect, and I have to wait for the above to verify it. This wait is half an hour. Of course it finally let me pass
Customs is at the exit, about 1 km from the immigration office.
You need to fill in the form at the customs and return to the bank (red house) opposite the immigration office to pay 779 yuan of Honduran Lempira. We don’t have local currency, and the exchange rate at the gateway is not good, so we exchanged a little local currency.

Honduras has a land area of about 112,000 square kilometers and is located in the northern part of Central America. It borders the Caribbean Sea in the north, the Gulf of Fonseca in the Pacific Ocean in the south, Nicaragua and El Salvador in the south, and Guatemala in the west.
