Among them, there is such a car that left a deep impression on the editor, not only because of its unique design, but more importantly, in order to take pictures of it, the editor almost paid the “ticket” with his mobile phone. Well, let’s get down to business. This car is a small C-type RV with a Transit chassis recently launched by Qixing RV. There are not many C-type RVs with a Transit chassis, let alone a design with a raised roof and an extension. Let’s take a look together.
This is a new model based on the Ford Transit chassis. Among the domestic RV manufacturers, Qixing RV has always been unique in its roof-up design. The small C-type RV that can be raised to the top will leave a deep impression on many people who have seen it. The box body is stamped and formed by an all-metal mold . The size of the vehicle is 5880 *2150*2300 (mm). It can be blue plated and can be driven by C.
The raised roof of the upper part of the new car enables it to have the comfortable space of a C-type RV when parking, and ensures that it can enter the basement and not be troubled by height restrictions when driving. What’s more interesting is that it also uses the common double-expansion design of C-type RVs. The left and rear sides of the compartment are folded and expanded to ensure the extension of the internal space. There is a bottom luggage compartment at the left rear, which is connected to the interior space of the car, and there is also a traction device at the rear.
The right side of the body is equipped with a manual awning and an external kitchen, and the upper right corner of the external kitchen is also equipped with a console, which is equipped with storage compartments for seasoning, and the details are very thoughtful. Moreover, a TV is also installed outside the car body, which is very convenient to watch when resting outside the car.
The cab retains the design basis of the new Transit chassis, the main and co-pilots are equipped with airbags, and the seats can be adjusted in height and rotated backwards. In terms of power, it is equipped with a 2.0T Eco Boost gasoline engine with a maximum power of 202 kilowatts. It is matched with a 6AT automatic manual gearbox, which reduces the difficulty of driving.
The internal state after the roof is lifted, there is an overhead double bed above the cab, the size is 2000*1400 (mm), the support method is an electric lifting rod, a folding and waterproof thermal insulation curtain is used, and an electric sunroof is equipped on the top. The orientation guarantees a comfortable rest in the car. The control panel of the car’s functions is located on the outer edge of the top bed. The circuit of this RV is equipped with a 2000W charging and inverter integrated machine, a 540AH lithium iron phosphate battery, and a 220V mains quick-plug cable as standard.
The seats in the rear compartment adopt a 2+1 luxury seat design with a liftable side dining table. Although the head space will become lower when driving, the seat configuration is more comfortable, which can make up for the riding experience.
Behind the single seat is the kitchen area. When I saw the mobile phone on the console, I just put it here, and then I forgot to take it away… The console is equipped with a sink and a circular induction cooker, but it’s a pity. The problem is that the induction cooker is too small, and the small space can only be used to simply heat hot water. I think the fabric storage compartment on the side is a bit crude, but it is indeed a good way to save space and retain functions. There are a variety of lockers in the wardrobe next to it and below, and the performance is still good.
The vertical bed at the rear is a single bed of 1000*1850 (mm) when it is not expanded, and the width can reach 1500 (mm) after expansion. Moreover, it is equipped with a separate ventilation window at the top, and the rear is equipped with a cooling split-type inverter air conditioner.
The space under the bed is not wasted. It is equipped with a 48L car refrigerator and a large storage compartment, which is very practical.
In the design of the bathroom, in order to meet the needs of large space use, a pioneering structure is adopted. It is equipped with Seidford fixed electric toilet, shower head, sink, vanity mirror, ventilation fan, etc. are all available. The waterway of this RV is equipped with a 150L clean water tank and a 45L sewage tank.
It is understood that the current market price of this RV is 428,000. The domestic new Transit chassis has always been mostly converted into B-type RVs, but the body size is inherently insufficient, and many users who have a strong pursuit of large space are excluded. Part of the modification has enlarged the space of the vehicle a lot, which is worthy of recognition.
