Life can’t hold you back—love to play with sand, but be in awe

The desert has its unique beauty, and driving in the sand sea also has its unique charm. I went to the Kubuqi Desert with a friend by chance, and borrowed a friend’s car to play in the shallow sand area. This kind of driving experience is really beautiful. My own car is a city SUV, and I even walked around the edge of the desert. are difficult.

In 2018, on the recommendation of a friend, I changed to the Tuda car, and decided to try to take a walk in several major deserts in China. As a fledgling, I still tried my skills at the novice practice field first, and went to Ulan Butong with the team, where I felt as if I was walking on the ground, and my confidence burst out.

In the new year, I started planning the itinerary and equipment for the Kubuqi Desert with my friends. My friend’s car had tires changed, but I’m still a plain car. I’m not too satisfied with the modification cases on the market, so I don’t want to waste money.

This is before entering the hinterland of the Kubuqi Desert, posing for a photo as a profile picture. I didn’t expect to be so seriously injured when I came out. The left side of the front bumper was broken, which is basically unsafe, and the buckle of the rear bumper was also damaged. Seeing my friend Tuda come out intact, I was really sad. It was caused by the burst of self-confidence in Ulan Butong, and the rookie in the desert had to pay his tuition.

Traveled to Dugui Tara and joined the big team. I asked the great gods in the team to exchange experiences and took me to practice in the shallow sand area. Practice is important, but it also requires solid theoretical knowledge, such as selecting the tire pressure value according to the ambient temperature, the approximate sand shape of several famous deserts in China, how to control the accelerator when rushing down a slope, how to observe the sand shape and choose a route, etc.

This time, we have a four-day holiday on May 1st, and we have enough time to take a break from the work unit. I hit it off with my friends and started to go to the Badain Jaran Desert, which I am fascinated by. It took two days to rush to Alxa Right Banner in Inner Mongolia, and it took half a day to check and prepare the vehicle. But when I really entered the Badain Jaran Desert, I suddenly felt that I was too naive, and I was definitely not competent with my own skills. The large sandy slopes with a height of more than 100 meters and the continuous blade also made me really have a good understanding of the desert. In awe.

We used GPS to make a good point, and walked about 20 kilometers to the hinterland. For safety reasons, we finally gave up crossing and changed to photography creation. Life can’t hold me back, but I seem to be surrounded by deserts. There are too many roads The potential is for me to discover, and my driving skills also need to be honed. I will return to Badain Jaran to complete a real crossing.
