Tibet has always been a place of fascination. As a car enthusiast, it is a long-cherished wish to drive your beloved car to measure the world. It is said that if you are tired of the life in front of you, take a trip.
In May of this year, I quit my 12-year job, tired of the day-to-day life, and decided to change my life. In this way, on June 2, 2018, I started my self-driving trip to Tibet.
This time we plan to go as far as Mount Kailash in the Ngari region in the far west of Tibet. The one-way journey has exceeded 5,000 kilometers, so preparations before departure are necessary.
Tire hubs, jacks, tow ropes, air pumps, etc. are all carried, and the advantages of the pickup truck are displayed at this time. I have never changed tires on such a big car, so I should practice before leaving, otherwise changing this thing at high altitude is not a joke.

My mother was worried about my son traveling thousands of miles. Before leaving, my mother fried peanuts and fried salted fish to take with me. In fact, she didn’t want me to run so far in her heart. The wife bought pancakes, fruits, and medicine, and set off with full family affection.

Arrive at the Hailuogou Hot Spring Hotel on the evening of the 5th. Hailuogou is famous for its majestic Wannian Glacier, coupled with the large-scale red rock beach and tumbling hot springs, it constitutes the only glacier forest hot spring park in China. Hailuogou Hot Spring Hotel, you can soak in hot springs and swim, which is very good. After taking a bath, there will be hot spring water that you can drink directly, and it smells like rotten eggs.

After descending from Gongga Snow Mountain, head straight to Xindu Bridge, which is a fascinating “photography paradise” and a picturesque paradise. Magical light, boundless grasslands, winding streams, golden cypress trees, rolling hills, Tibetan villages scattered among them, cattle and sheep grazing peacefully…the plain scenery in western Sichuan is blooming beautifully. The outside world calls it a fascinating “world of light and shadow” and “a photographer’s paradise”.
It was the first time in Xinduqiao that I felt high-reverse. When walking in a hurry, or climbing the stairs, I felt out of breath. I woke up almost every hour throughout the night. When I fell asleep, I always felt that I was suffocated. Just wake up, hold back when you sleep.

Daocheng Yading is known as “the last Shangri-La” and “the last piece of pure land on the blue planet”. If you are interested in Baidu, the scenic spot has not yet been fully developed, and it is strongly recommended to visit. This place is also the most challenging scenic spot in the whole process.
Drive here, take the bus for an hour to enter the mountain, transfer to the scenic spot for 20 minutes to Luorong Ranch, and there is still an 11-kilometer walk back and forth waiting for you. Those who weigh less than 170 can choose to take a mule and horse to Sheshenya, like me Don’t even think about such a fat man, let’s go.
