D38 Dushanzi～Anjihai Grand Canyon～Turpan
Anjihai Grand Canyon, also known as Hongshan Grand Canyon, is located in the geological fault zone at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain, west of Anjihai Town, Shawan County. The Anjihai River originates from the Tianshan Mountains. After years of erosion, it rushes out of the Tianshan Canyon near Tungut, forming a large-scale impact fan under the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains. The valley impact fan is large in scale and opens northward in an umbrella shape. It is also called a geological wonder.
Anjihai River is one of the four major water systems in Shawan. The upper reaches of the river is Bajiangou, which originates from the main peak of Yilian Habiga Mountain, rushes out of the Tianshan Canyon near Tungut, and rushes down like a horse out of stiffness, thus forming a large-scale piedmont impact fan under the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain. In the plain and hilly area about seven kilometers north of Yuanxing Palace, the river cuts out thousands of feet of cliffs and valleys, forming a rare plain in the history of landforms, dangerous passes and strong deep stretches.
I went there early in the morning. The Anjihai Grand Canyon runs north-south. It is best to go in the afternoon, so that the sun is shining from the side and rear, and the photos taken will be more beautiful!

D39 Turpan～Hami
Friends who go to Xinjiang, it seems that there are very few who do not go to Turpan. The main reason is that Turpan has Flame Mountain, Grape Valley, Karez and negative altitude.
Turpan City is an olive-shaped intermountain basin in the eastern part of the Tianshan Mountains, surrounded by mountains. The basin starts from the mouth of Alashangou in the west and ends at the west mouth of Qijiaojing Canyon in the east, with a length of 245 kilometers from east to west; the foothills of Bogda Mountain in the north; and Kurutage Mountain in the south, with a width of about 75 kilometers from north to south. In the central part, there are Huoyan Mountain and Borto Ula Mountain crossing the territory, dividing this area into two halves, the south and the north. The water surface of Lake Aydin at the bottom of the basin is 155 meters below sea level. It is the lowest basin in my country and the second lowest in the world after Jordan’s Dead Sea, which is 391 meters below sea level. The Turpan Basin has a mountainous area of 9,850 square kilometers and a plain area of 59,863 square kilometers.
Aydin Lake is closed to protect the water body from pollution, and tourists are prohibited from visiting it.
Go south along Y005 and pass the zero altitude point.
There are primitive Karez wells here, and you can learn about desert plant species in Xinjiang, and it is also a negative altitude area second only to Aiding Lake.
