It is reported that the new car will be built on the all-aluminum MLA platform. Jaguar also said that Jaguar will only have this platform in the future. The J-PACE fuel version will be equipped with an in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine, while the plug-in hybrid model will add an electric motor to the rear axle. It is expected that the pure electric cruising range of the new car can reach 80 kilometers.

This car also provides maximum seating space and pure electric cruising range. There will be no bulge in the center of the J-PACE rear floor, and the chassis will be as flat as possible to reduce air resistance and increase pure electric cruising range. In the later stage, J-PACE is also expected to launch a fuel version equipped with a four-cylinder engine and a pure electric version.
