According to Toyota’s official information, the starting price of the new generation of Toyota Highlander in the North American market is 34,600 US dollars, or about 242,000 yuan. Compared with the current model, the price has increased slightly.
In terms of configuration, the fourth-generation Highlander that landed in the North American market is equipped with Toyota TSS 2.0 active safety system as standard, including automatic emergency braking system with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise etc.
In terms of comfort configuration, it provides three-zone automatic air conditioning, LED headlights, 8-inch LCD monitor and so on. The drive form of the entry-level model is front-wheel drive.
Higher-level models have added comprehensive configurations such as electric tailgate, fog lamps, leather steering wheels, and blind spot detection. The top-of-the-line hybrid four-wheel drive model is priced at US$50,200, or about 351,000 yuan.
In terms of power, the fourth-generation Highlander launched in the North American market provides a combination of a 3.5L V6 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission as an entry-level configuration. The high-end model provides a combination of 2.5L Atkinson cycle engine and hybrid power, with a maximum output of 240 horsepower and a fuel consumption of 6.9L per 100 kilometers.
Judging from the situation in the North American market, the price of the new generation of Toyota Highlander is expected to remain the same as that of the current model after it is launched in the domestic market.
